Can you get carpal tunnel syndrome in your finger from using a laptop TrackPoint too much? - trackpoint and carpal tunnel
I use a ThinkPad notebook computer for about the only 5 years. I used it in college and now I work in the software, so I often use my computer. Never use a mouse. I use the touchpad for everything. (You know, the red knot in the middle of the keyboard?) Do I use to surf to work on the Internet, including video games. I was very comfortable with him, but lately I started noticing a pain in the tendon behind my right index finger. (Those that work with the TrackPoint.) Then I gave myself carpal tunnel in the hands of the use of the touchpad?

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition most commonly diagnosed orthopedic there. Usually does not occur on a finger. In general, the distribution of the median follow that part of the palm is used, and the sensitivity for the thumb, forefinger and middle finger so. Not only pain and numbness on one criterion, but a weak grip. I played a good number of diagnoses of CTS easy on the sole basis of the absence of interference with the motor (muscle) function. It is part of the diagnostic criteria. If this is not CTS.
The simple answer to your question is "no." Pain in the back of the index is nowhere near a typical manifestation of CTS.
